First of all, excuses for the delay on..  euhm.. everything.

I had some RL issues to attend to, and those were pretty heavy for our family.

Onto Giantgrid.

The only thing left to do was the user database, its not 100% compatible with the new style of hosting the Virtual World, at some point with all the RL chaos happening i got a bit lost in the project.

I am back on this now, and the user database will be operational as soon as possible, i did most of the work already, only some entry's from the db are not recognized, we changed the whole database and its platform to support future changes in the way GiantGrid behaves.

Estimated time :

Within 1 day its ready.

Long hours, long nights.. but its almost ready now.

Some of you may have noticed that a login try will give you a username error.

Dont worry.. its still there.. we are finalizing the update now.. and it will be up soon.

The whole platform is redesigned.. so it can also support features for the future, some of this features

will have a huge impact on how GG behaves.

The update takes longer as expected, we hoped to be back online August 4th.

It takes longer because the underlying platform software needs to be adjusted.

We work as hard as we can to get it up, sorry for the delay.

for what its worth.. it sure looked promising in the tests we do.

Keep hanging in there for a few.. we are back shortly.

While the line was down we thought it would be wise to combine this with a update.

We already had plans to update the grid to a new version.

While the downtime takes a bit longer, the update is worth it.

New cache system for better performance while rezzing

We expect the first regions up on 23:00 CET
